More ways to enjoy Premier
Sole account
Use the Barclays app to apply for an account if you:
- Are 18 or older and not in full-time education
- Have a UK mobile number and home address
- Can provide photo ID, like a passport, driving licence or national ID card. If you can’t do this, you can apply online instead.
Joint account
Apply online for a joint account if you:
- Are both 18 or older and not in full-time education
- Have a UK mobile number and you’re both present during the application
- Have both lived in the UK for at least 12 months.

You can upgrade to Premier. Open the Barclays app and go to ‘Products’, then tap ‘Premier Banking’ and follow the instructions.
